In this prequel to The LIttle Foxes, Edmond O'Brien plays Ben Hubbard. He is the son of Marcus Hubbard, played by Fredric March. Ben is a hard working clerk for his father who sadly can't stand him. Marcus Hubbard is a supreme narcissist, with Edmond being the lost child. Dan Duryea as his brother Oscar would be the scapegoat. Ann Blyth as his sister Regina is no doubt the golden child. A toxic family dynamic, with only the mother - played by March's real life wife, Florence Eldridge - is a sympathetic character.
